Asparagus is a great vegetable for spring BBQ's and winter hearty dishes. Marinate them for an Asian flare. Enjoy! -Alia
Ingredients
1/3 cup (80 ml) each: rice vinegar and soy sauce
3 Tbs. (45 ml) olive oil
2 Tbs. (30 ml) grated ginger
3 cloves of garlic
1 Tbs. (15 ml) honey
pinch of cayenne pepper
Directions
1. Put 3 lbs. (1,35 kg) cut to desire length, make sure to cut just the hard ends. Boil water in a pot, big enough to cover the asparagus. About 1/2 of a medium size pot with water. Once water is boiling place asparagus in for about 3 minutes. Taste to see if you like them crunchy or keep in longer if you prefer an al dente taste. Remove and place on a paper towel to dry.
2. In a separate large plastic bag add olive oil, grated ginger, diced garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, honey and pepper. Close zipper and shake. Add asparagus and shake. Store in Frig for about 10 minutes. Serve!
