Carotte Suprême (French)
Serve 4-6

2 Tbs. (30 ml) organic butter, margarine, or almond milk-dairy free
1 Tbs. (15 ml) organic brown sugar
3-4 sliced organic carrots
1 large organic orange, remove skin and slice thinly
1/4 tsp. (1,25 ml) nutmeg

1. Melt margarine or butter in a frying pan.
2. Add sugar, stir to make a syrup.
3. Add carrots, stir until covered with the syrup.
4. Arrange sliced oranges on top of the carrots.
5. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
6. Cook, covered, over medium-heath until carrots are tender.
