Are you tired of the same breakfasts? Here's one to add to your morning start of the day meal....or for guest who have spent the night
Serves 10-12
The batter can be made
the night before.
Pre-heat the oven to 375F (190C)

1 (gluten-free) French bread loaf, cut into 1-inch (2,5 cm) cubes
1 dozen organic eggs
2 cups (dairy-free) organic milk
1 Tbs. (15 ml) vanilla extract
1/3 cup (80 ml) organic maple syrup
1 8-ounce (225 g) package (dairy-free) cream cheese, cut into 1/2-inch (1,25 cm) cubes and softened

1. Line a large cast iron Dutch oven with heavy-duty aluminum foil all the way to the top edge.
2. Place the bread cubes in a large bowl.
3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and maple syrup.
4. Pour over the bread cubes.
5. Stir in the cream cheese.
6. Let it stand for 10-30 minutes.
7. Pour the mixture into the Dutch oven.
8. Cover and back for 50-60 minutes.
9. Insert a table knife into the center to check if it is done.
 (a) If it comes out clean, it is done.
10. Cut out selections to serve with optional toppings of organic:
  • sugar
  • maple syrup
  • (dairy-free) yogurt
  • jam(s)
  • chopped walnuts
  • tahini
  • sliced fruit(s)
  • etc.
