(Irish: Irish oats)
Serves 2-3
Just add these ingredients, put it in the refrigerate, and relax for breakfast the next morning.

1 cup (235 ml) each: steel-cut oats* and hemp milk
2 Tbs. (30 ml) chai seeds
1/4 tsp. (0,5 ml) each: ground cardamom, vanilla or almond extract, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon
1 Tbs. (15 ml): maple syrup
1 pinch each: nutmeg and black pepper
optional (some or all)
1 Tbs. (15 ml): shredded coconut, raisins, chopped pistachios or chopped walnuts
1 tsp (5 ml): sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, wheat germ, or teff*
1. Combine all ingredients except "optional items" in a glass container with a lid or in a bowl covered.
2. Stir and refrigerate overnight.
3. Open the jar or uncover the bowl. Stir and add any or all optional ingredients.
4. Add more liquid (apple or orange juice, or hemp milk) to taste.
5. Heat in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes to get it hot.
*commonly used in Scotland and Ireland to make porridge. Read the ingredients for gluten free oats, if needed.
