Makes 6 Waffles
My parents usually put yogurt on their waffles. Here is one with yogurt in the waffles.
ingredients:
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) all purpose whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) rolled oats (not quick cooking)
- 3/4 tsp (3,75 ml) course salt
- 2 tsp (10 ml) baking powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) packed light brown sugar
- 3 Tbs. (45 ml) melted unsalted butter
- 3 large organic eggs
- 1 1/2 cups plain, low fat organic yogurt
A. Batter:
1. In a large bowl, whisk flours, oats, salt, and baking powder.
2. In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, butter, eggs, and yogurt until smooth.
3. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture and mix well to combine.
4. Let batter it for 15 minutes.

B. Waffle:
1. Heat waffle iron. Brush with melted butter.
2. Pour 1/2 cup (120 ml) batter. Close and cook until golden brown.
