A very Spanish tradition, the tapas, is an assortment of small dishes served at tascas (bars), pre-dinner appetizers since dining starts about 9 PM, at the earliest! Have friends over and enjoy appetizers or a light dinner.
Tapas Plato Español
  • caper salad
  • artichoke quarters with piquillo peppers
  • olivers (aceitunas )
  • niçoise-coquillo olivers
  • lupini beans in harissa (very spicy) sauce
  • garlic and oil (allioli) served on bread or with boiled or grilled potatoes or vegetables
  • papas arrugada or papas con mojo: small, new boiled potatoes in salt water, drained, slightly roasted, served with mojo sauce, garlic, paprika, red peppers, cumin seed, olive oil, wine vinegar on fresh bread crumbs (without the crust) to thicken it
  • setas al ajillo: fresh mushrooms sautéed with olive oil and garlic
optional:
  • chorizo sausage
  • manchego cheese
  • bread rools
  • Serrano ham
