Add a new taste to a Latin dish...
avocado + asparagus
1 small can of chile (degree of hotness to taste)
10 organic asparagus spears, ends trimmed, cut in half
1-2 tsp. (5-10 ml) minced garlic
1 medium avocados, peeled and cubed, save the seed*
1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh cilantro or parsley
3 Tbs. (45 ml) organic lime juice
ground black pepper to taste
Combine the ingredients in a food processor. Blend until smooth.
* Insert three toothpicks around the bottom of the seed. Put it in a class of water. When the roots are long and stems and leaves form, transfer to a pot of soil and grow a plant. We have four plants in one pot. Water sparingly. It will not produce avocados but makes nice in-door plant.
