It is also called Dutch Sauce. Hollandaise is one of the five French main sauces. It is usually made with egg yolk, but not in this recipe.
Sauce hollandaise sans jaune d'oeuf (French)
Makes 4 servings
8 ounces (225 g) organic tofu, drained
3 Tbs. (45 ml) organic lemon juice
1/4 tsp. (1 g) turmeric
Optionals added ingredients:- shallots
- chervil
- tarragon
- crushed peppercorns
- tomato purée
- white wine
- horseradish
- thyme
- crème fraîche
- Dijon mustard
- orange zest
1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and creamy.
2. Pour into a sauce pan and cook over low heats, stir until heated through.
3. Serve immediately over vegetables, meat, fish, or seafood.
