Bratkartoffel mit Zwiebeln (German)
Serves 6
about 5 medium organic potatoes
1 pound (455 g) organic turkey bacon, cut into think strips and cut into pieces
3 organic garlic cloves, chopped
1 medium organic onion, chopped
1 tsp. (5 g) dried majoram
black pepper to taste
parsley
option: some organic lemon juice
1. Add potatoes a saucepan and cover them with water.
2. Bring to a boil and cook 20-25 minutes.
3. Drain, cool, and slice into think pieces.
4. Sauté the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat.
5. Remove the bacon, pat dry on a paper towel, save the oil.
6. Sauté the garlic and onions.
7. Add the bacon, potatoes, and spices.
8. Cook, stir, until the potatoes turn brown.
9. (Stir in some lemon juice.)
10. Serve from the skillet or on a plate, sprinkle with chopped parsley.
