Most of the time, I just place a wedge of Gouda or Jarlsberg cheese on the coffee table with an assortment of (gluten-free) crackers. But for the holidays, a beautiful cheese board is nicer.-Mike

Label separate board for gluten-dairy free items.
  • 1 or 2 ounces (30-60 g) of cheese per person
  • Let the cheese rest at room temperature for about an hour.
  • Leave the rinds on to keep the cheese from drying out.
  • Unrefrigerated cheese can stay out for two hours.
  • Place 3-5 cheeses with different milk types, flavors, textures and colors on a wooden board.
  • Arrange small bowls filled with jams and/or juicy fruits.
  • Use sliced baguettes and/or mild crackers.
  • Add seasonal and/or dried fruits and nuts, olivers.
  • Use one (cheese) knife for each type of cheese.
