On a cold, snowy day, put the ingredients in a slow cooker, sit back and relax or finish a project. Dinner will be done in three hours.

½ cup (100 g) packed light organic brown sugar
⅓ cup (80 ml) organic ketchup
¼ cup (40 ml) each: apple cider vinegar and organic soy sauce or liquid aminos (gluten-free)
2 Tbs. (30 ml) cornstarch (also called: cornflour, maize starch, or maize)
1 minced garlic clove
1 tsp. (5 ml) ground ginger
1 ½ pounds (780 g) organic or free range boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
1 onion, quartered
2 organic bell peppers, cut into bite size pieces
1 can (20 ounces) (465 g) organic pineapple chunks in juice
sesame seeds and sliced organic green onions stems for garnish
side dishes: cooked rice
一 In slow cooker, combine brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce/liquid aminos, cornstarch, garlic and ginger.
二 Add chicken, onions, peppers, pineapple and juice.
三 Stir to coat the chicken with the sauce.
四 Cover, cook on Low for 3 hours or on High for 90 minutes. Check to see the chicken is cooked and not pink in the middle.
五 Serve over cooked rice.
六 Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion stems.
