Around the world, there are rubs and marinades to add flavor and taste to interesting dishes. Here are five:

Moroccan for organic: lamb, chicken, salmon, or vegetables
makes 1/4 cup (50 g)

4 tsp. (18 g) curry powder
1 1/2 tsp. (7 g) ground coriander
1 tsp. (4,5 g) each: ground ginger and cumin
1/2 tsp. (2,5 g) each: black pepper and organic sugar
optional: paprika, cayenne pepper, allspice, and/or ground nutmeg

1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Rub into food an hour before cooking.


Tandoori for organic: lamb, beef, chicken, tofu
makes 1 cup (2,5 dl)

6 ounces (175 g) organic (dairy-free) yogurt
1/4 cup (60 ml) (dairy-free) organic milk
1 Tbs. (15 ml) organic lemon juice
1 tsp. (4,5 g) each organic sugar and paprika
1/4 tsp. (1,25 g) each: coriander and curry powder

1. Whisk all together.
2. Marinate food in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.


Mexican for organic: beef, pork, chicken, or ship
                                                                                 makes 1/3 cup (65 g)

2 Tbs. (30 g) chili powder
2 tsp. (9 g) cumin
1 tsp. (4,5 g) each: garlic powder, paprika, and coriander
1/2 tsp (2,25 g) cayenne pepper
optional: onion powder, dried oregano, and/or red pepper flakes, 

1. Combine everything.
2. Rub into food 1 hours before cooking

Sesame-Soy for organic: beef, pork, shrimp, or tofu
makes 1 cup (2,5 dl)

1/2 cup (120 ml) soy sauce or (gluten-free) liquid aminos
1 chopped scallion
2 Tbs. (9 g) organic brown sugar
2 Tbs. (30 ml) rice wine
1 Tbs. (15 ml) sesame oil
2 chopped cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp. (2,5 g) ground ginger
pinch or two black pepper

1. Blended all ingredients.
2. Marinate food in the refrigerator from 1-3 hours.


Jamaican for organic: chicken, fish, or vegetables
makes 1/3 cup (80 ml)

2 Tbs. (9 g) each: organic sugar, dried thyme, and onion powder
1 1/2 tsp. (7 g) red pepper
1 tsp. (4,5 g) black pepper
1/2 tsp. (2,25 g) each: allspice and cinnamon
optional: garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and/or chili powder

1. Combine everything.
2. Rub into the food an hour before cooking.


Chimichurri for: organic beef, shrimp, vegetables, or tofu
                                                                 makes 1/3 cup (80 ml)
an Argentinian sauce:
1/3 cup (80 ml) olive oil
1/4 cup (60 ml) red or white wine vinegar
3 chopped cloves of garlic
1/2 cup (100 g) chopped parsley leaves
3 Tbs. (45 g) chopped cilantro
optional: oregano, red pepper flakes, paprika, cumin, thyme, lemon juice, basil and/or bay leaf

1. Pulse all the ingredients in a blender .
2. Marinate food in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.
