Slow cooker is the way to go on a cold, rainy, winter day. Put everything in the cooker and enjoy care-free dinner that evening.
Serve 4-6

1 cup (240 ml) each: apple cider and organic chicken broth
4 organic chicken skinless breasts or thighs 
1/8 tsp. (0,6 g) ground nutmeg
1 Tbs. (15 g) curry powder
2 Tbs. (30 ml) organic (dairy-free) butter
1 chopped organic onion
2 minced organic garlic cloves
3 organic apples, peel on but cored and thickly sliced
package of dried soup mix of choice (We used German asparagus soup.)
cooked rice or French fries
garnish with parsley

1. In a small bowl, combine the apple cider, nutmeg, and curry powder. Set aside.
2. In a microwave dish, melt the butter with the onions and garlic, 1-2 minutes.
3. Place in the bottom of the slow cooker
4. Add the sliced apples.
5. Dip each chicken into the apple-cider mixture to coat then place crock pot. Pour any remaining mixture over the chicken.
6. Whisk together the chicken broth and soup.
7. Pour over the chicken in the slow cooker.
8. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
9. Serve the chicken, sauce, apples, and onions over rice or with French fries.
10. Sprinkle some parsley over the top.
