I use this in place of beef in many dishes. If you buy a lot of packaged, organic tofu, it can be frozen.
Serves 2-4
Preheat the oven to 400F (200C)

1 pound (455 g) organic tofu
3 Tbs. (45 ml) soy sauce or gluten-free liquid aminos
3 Tbs. (45 ml) olive oil
+1 tsp. (+2 g) to taste, each: garlic powder, paprika, and chili powders
2 Tbs. (30 g) nutritional yeast or organic vegetable broth

1. Remove the water from the tofu.
2. In a bowl, mix the other ingredients.
3. Once the tofu is drained and excess water removed, squeeze the tofu in your hands into a crumble texture.

I.
4. Lightly drizzle some olive oil onto a baking tray.
5. Spread out the tofu mixture on the tray.
6. Bake for 17-20 minutes.
7. Use
  • as is in tacos and other Spanish dishes.
  • in a sauce.
  • etc.

II.
4. Add the tofu mixture into a lasagne before baking.
5. Roll the mixture into small balls and deep-fry or bake for "meatballs".
6. etc.
