Delicious on scones, breads, biscuits, English muffins, and toast. Quick to make. Keep for 2 weeks or 5 months if frozen.
1/2 cup (15 g) unsalted organic butter at room temperature
1 Tbs. (15 ml) each: finely chopped ginger and honey
1 tsp. (5 ml) grated organic orange zest
1/4 tsp. (1,25 ml) ground ginger
1/8 tsp. (0.65 ml) ground allspice (also called: Jamaica pepper, pepper, myrle pepper, pimenta, or newspice)
optional: add edible flowers that have not been sprayed for color and taste:
nasturtium = sweet, mildly pungent, peppery flavor
rose = sweet and aromatic flavor (remove the bitter white portion of the petals)
geranium = from lemon to mint flavors
violet = sweet and nectar
Just combine all ingredients in a bowl and use as you like.
