Bake potato (UK: jacket potato) has a fluffy interior and crispy skin, serve with or without toppings, as a meal itself, or as a side dish.
Preheat the oven to 400F (200C) (gas 6)

russet organic potato(s)

optional toppings:
  • (dairy-free) organic butter, sour cream, and/or cheese
  • filled with organic (dairy-fee) yogurt and chopped parsley or chives
  • sprinkle paprika 
  • North America: organic (dairy-fee) butter, sour cream, chives, shredded cheeses and bacon bits; barbecued or smoked meat or chili; cooked organic vegetables 
  • UK: (dairy-free) cheddar cheese, organic baked beans, tuna mayonnaise, chili con carne, chicken, and/or bacon
  • Turkey: (called: kumpir); cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, sweetcorn, sausage slices, carrots, and/or mushrooms 

1. Microwave 1 potato
                or 
1. Bake about an hour.

2. Split open, fluff the inside with a fork and top as desired.
