It is a strange combination, but the apples give an interesting crisp texture to an otherwise "rice" dish.
Serves 4

1 cup (130 g) basmati rice (has a nutty flavor), rinsed and soak for an hour
1 cup (130 g) wild rice, rinsed
2 1/2 cups (325 g) organic vegetable or chicken stock
dash or two of turmeric and zeta spices
1 Tbs. each: olive oil and organic honey
zest of 1 organic orange
1/2 cup (120 ml) organic orange juice
juice of 1 organic lemon
1 tart organic apple, cored and diced


1. Place the basmati, wild rice, stock, and spices in a rice cooker.

2. Warm orange juice, oil, honey, zest.
3. Remove and stir in the lemon juice and apples.

4. Toss the rice with the apples and the orange dressing.
